High Strength Low Alloy Tubing

 

Valmont Tubing produces electric resistance welded (ERW) mechanical steel tubing using high strength low alloy steel (HSLA) and ultra-high strength steel (UHSS).  HSLA tubing provides a higher strength over normal carbon steel tubing with the addition of alloying elements such as columbium, vanadium, molybdenum and titanium without increasing the carbon or wall thickness of the steel giving it a high strength to weight ratio.  Produced in round sizes up to 12.75" OD and in squares and rectangles up to 6.00", Valmont has the manufacturing capabilities to produce HSLA tubing up to an 80,000 psi minimum yield and UHSS tubing up to a 100,000 psi min yield.

high strength low alloy tubing is produced to specific mechanical properties rather than carbon steel which is normally produced to meet specific chemical properties.
